Why open a toy shop if you don't want children in there???? My 2 children wanted to have a quick look while I popped in the shop next door, however I found 2 upset children waiting for me outside as they had rudely been questioned about being in there and told to leave by a member of staff! What a joke! 😡

A lovely shop, that’s very community focused, always helping and contributing to local events with donations and support.

The shop looks lovely and had I felt welcome I would have looked and likely spent more than I did. Unfortunately the woman in there is extremely abrupt and rude, making the whole experience uncomfortable and awkward. Wasn't a nice shopping experience, wouldn't return!

Excellent service and fast delivery. They had an item which no other place had and quickly dispatched it with excellent communication. Will definitely use again.

Had bad experience with this shop. Ordered online and paid extra money for a quicker 1-3 day delivery, received the order after 2 weeks when it was already too late. I guess the problem was with the delivery company, but the seller didn't even try to resolve the problem, ignored emails or at least apologised.

As with the previous review unfortunately we found this an unhappy and rude experience too. We visited okehampton yesterday and our boys age 11 and 9 were keen to have a look. As we were sat at the coffee shop next to it and could see it was empty we said this was OK. Minutes later they returned looking very upset. They had been told that they weren't allowed in without an adult. On joining them my husband enquired why (thinking perhaps there had been thefts). He was told it was difficult to have children in when the shop was busy. On look around the empty shop my husband and children were informed "well it's what my boss has told me and it was busy yesterday ". They then spent a short time wondering around in very uncomfortable silence. Whilst we are really keen to support small independent stores and understand that policies may have to be in place, we left with two upset boys who just wanted to look at some lego sets. We will take them where their custom is appreciated and they are made to feel welcome. Shocking customer service 😪

Very poor customer service. My parents went in to buy some Lego for my son. They took a photo to send to me to see if he’d already got a particular set. The women then instructed that there is to be no photography in the shop. When they went to left she said it’s because people compare prices to Amazon. You don’t need to take photos to compare with Amazon you can just search then and there. Anyway after that it made me curious and check prices. They’re about 33% more expensive than elsewhere which you typically know they’d be more expensive anyway being a smaller shop but you do it to keep them going. Not if they’re rude and make up silly rules though.

Loads of amazing toys and the owner is lovely and very helpful with what the different toys are and what new stuff is coming in. 100% my favourite shop in Okehampton!
